How to Play
Attract more people
The goal is to get as many people following you as possible within 2 minutes to be the winner. Move your character around the map and attract other players by getting close to them. When a player follows you, they become your "follower". You will earn more money when you have more followers. Use money to buy power-ups, such as magnets to attract players faster or shields to protect yourself from enemies. The player with the most followers after 2 minutes will win.
How to control
Press and hold the left mouse button to move your character around the map. Start alone and move towards unaffiliated people to make them your followers. The game is played in rounds with 5 players, including yourself. Your goal is to gather as many followers as possible before your opponents do.
Scores
Keep an eye on the upper right corner of the screen to see your score and the scores of other players. The upper left corner shows the remaining time for the round and the number of players you have eliminated. To eliminate other players, you need to have a bigger crowd of followers than they do.
Tips for Playing Popular Wars
- At the start of each round, focus on finding and converting unaffiliated crowds to build your follower base quickly. Look for areas on the map with lots of people, as these will help you grow faster.
- Keep moving all the time. Staying in one place makes you an easy target for larger players. Use your mouse to move quickly and efficiently across the map. This helps you avoid conflicts when you are smaller and chase down opponents when you have a larger crowd.
- In the early stages, avoid players with larger crowds. If you see a bigger player coming, steer clear and find another area with available followers.
- Regularly check the map to see where unaffiliated crowds are spawning. Head to those areas to boost your follower count. Also, keep track of where your opponents are. Confront them when you have the advantage and avoid them when they are stronger.
- When you have a significantly larger crowd than another player, move towards them to eliminate them and absorb their followers. Timing is crucial attack when you can quickly overpower them without giving them a chance to escape.
- To maximize your score, target opponents strategically. Eliminating players with large crowds gives you a big boost in followers and helps you dominate the map.
- When playing you need to pay attention to the time of the round, when the timer runs out, make powerful moves to consolidate your lead or surpass the current leader.
