About Backyard Baseball

Backyard Baseball is a popular sports game aimed at children, developed and released by Humongous Entertainment on October 10, 1997. This is the first game in the Backyard Sports series with a diverse cast of children living in the neighborhood, with unique skills and characteristics, bringing a fun and close experience to children.

The game was inspired by the company's focus on creating educational games for children. Most sports-related games are developed by famous players to make the game more attractive and outstanding. But with this baseball game, the developer has a separate path, the characters in the game will be young children with innocent and lovely images. The game makes children feel like they are the characters in the game, not any other players. The developer has also brought a unique and creative idea.

Backyard Baseball Gameplay

You will stand at a fixed point to hit the ball, you can move left and right to avoid missing the ball. On the screen, there will be a red square frame to show the point where the ball falls. Players just need to pay attention to this red frame to catch the ball most accurately. Each game screen will have 10 balls for you, which means you will have 10 times to hit the ball. Each time you hit the ball, whether they are or not, you will lose a ball, until you have no more balls, you will end the game. You will see your score in the upper corner of the screen after each hit. To unlock new levels, you need to use the points you have earned in the matches.

When the ball falls out, each corner will have a different score, such as a corner where your score can be x2, a corner where your score is x3, and a corner where your score is not very high. Your score will depend on the corners when it falls. Each ball game will give you 10 balls, when you hit all 10 balls, the game will end. In the first matches, the score you need to exchange will be 50 points, then it will increase gradually with each level. The higher you are, the higher your score will be, requiring you to achieve high scores to be able to unlock new levels.
