Cut the Rope 2 takes you on a sweet yet challenging journey with the adorable frog Om Nom. Every cut and every candy is a clever puzzle with a little mischief. This is the sequel to the famous physics puzzle game Cut the Rope, developed by ZeptoLab. This is a logic-challenging game that takes players on the path of Om Nom, a cute little green creature who loves candy.
Om Nom is lost and on a mission to find candy
While the first part of Cut the Rope took place in a mysterious cardboard box, the plot of Cut the Rope 2 has expanded significantly.
- The story begins when Om Nom (the green monster who loves candy) has all his candy stolen by a mean spider. While chasing the last candy, Om Nom accidentally gets suspended on a hot air balloon.
- The hot air balloon takes Om Nom away from his beloved home, causing him to get lost in completely new environments.
- The adventure in Cut the Rope 2 is Om Nom's journey to find his way home, while satisfying his craving for candy.
Ultimate Goal
The player's main goal in each level is:
- Get the candy into Om Nom's mouth: This is a prerequisite to completing the level. The candy must move, shake, or fall in the right position for Om Nom.
- Collect 3 stars: To get the highest score and unlock the next levels, the player needs to manipulate the candy to touch and collect all three stars arranged in difficult positions in the level, before it is eaten by Om Nom.
Cut the rope
- The player uses his finger (on mobile) or mouse (on computer) to cut the ropes holding the candy.
- Cutting the rope will activate the laws of physics. The candy will fall freely or swing like a pendulum, depending on the position and tension of the remaining rope. The player must calculate the exact time and angle of the cut so that the candy follows the desired trajectory.
