In the zero-gravity world of Run 3, you will transform into a small alien creature and continuously run non-stop in a space tunnel full of traps and voids.
You will mainly run in tunnel systems made up of basic geometric shapes (squares, rectangles) and platforms floating in an infinite space. These structures are not fixed but can rotate and flip when you interact with them. Surrounding the tunnels is a deep black space, evoking the feeling of a vast, limitless universe. Falling off the rails means you will disappear into this space.
The core gameplay of Run 3 revolves around a simple principle: running, jumping, and navigating in an ever-changing 3D environment. However, this simplicity hides depth and difficulty, requiring players to have quick reflexes and good spatial visualization. Your character will automatically run forward continuously. You do not need to hold the key to move. When you run to the edge of a platform or jump into a wall, the entire scene will rotate 90 degrees, and you will start running on that surface. This means that the "floor" can instantly turn into a "wall" or a "ceiling".
Each level is uniquely designed with pre-set tunnels, gaps, obstacles, and gravity-altering mechanics. They often increase in difficulty and introduce new types of obstacles or more complex arrangements. Completing certain levels will unlock new sectors of the galaxy map, leading to new sets of levels and sometimes different visual environments.
When you reach certain milestones or complete specific tasks (e.g. running through a certain number of tunnels, collecting enough energy), you will unlock new characters. Each character has unique abilities, for example:
And many more characters.
Infinite Mode is a great mode to collect Power Cells/Cosmic Batteries. These coins appear scattered in the tunnels and you need to move skillfully to collect them without losing your life. The energy earned can be used to unlock characters in Adventure Mode. This mode is an ideal playground to practice your reflexes, gravity shifting skills and obstacle dodging ability. Repeated runs in random environments help you get used to unexpected situations and improve your control.
