8 Ball Pool is a popular billiards game that brings players to the world of online billiards just like in real life. You can join 1 vs 1 matches to challenge.

Basic Rules of 8 Ball Pool

Each player will receive 7 balls, and the task is to shoot all 7 balls of their group into the hole. The two groups will be distinguished by striped balls and solid balls. The player's goal is to get all of their group of balls into the hole, then get the black number 8 ball into the hole to win the final victory. When the game starts, the balls will be arranged in a triangle with the number 8 ball in the middle. An object ball at the top of the triangle is placed at the end of the table, and the remaining two corners must be 1 colored ball and 1 striped ball.

The break shot is not a called shot. If the object ball is pocketed after a legal break shot, the player can continue shooting. After pocketing the object ball on the break shot, the player will have the option to choose a striped or solid ball.

A legal shot:

The cue ball must first touch its object ball.

The cue ball may be hit into the rail before it hits the object ball, provided that an object ball is pocketed or any ball touches the rail afterwards.

Foul: When a foul is committed (e.g., the cue ball is pocketed, the opponent's ball is pocketed by mistake, neither ball touches the side of the table after the shot, the ball bounces off the table, etc.), the opponent will have the right to place the ball in any position.

8-Ball: After pocketing all balls in his group, the player must pocket the 8-ball into the designated pocket. If the 8-ball is pocketed in a pocket other than the designated pocket, or the cue ball is pocketed when the 8-ball is hit, or the 8-ball bounces off the table, the player loses immediately.

Any strategies for a quick win?

After each shot, the goal is not only to pocket the object ball, but also to get the cue ball into a favorable position for the next shot. Tap the top of the cue ball to make the cue ball roll after hitting the object ball. Useful when you want the cue ball to go further after hitting.

Tap the bottom of the cue ball to make the cue ball recoil after hitting the object ball. Great for keeping the cue ball close to the pocket or avoiding other balls. Tap the sides of the cue ball to change the direction of the cue ball after hitting the object ball and the rail. Useful when you need a difficult angle or want to move the cue ball around an obstacle.
